Batman & Robin is a 1997 superhero film directed by Joel Schumacher and the fourth entry in the Warner Bros. Batman series. George Clooney plays Batman and Chris O'Donnell returns as Robin, whose partnership is strained when two villains strike at once. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Mr. Freeze, a scientist who steals diamonds to save his frozen wife, and Uma Thurman plays the seductive Poison Ivy. With Alfred falling ill, his niece Barbara joins the fight as Batgirl in this colourful, campy adventure.
