The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 musical fantasy directed by Victor Fleming and one of the most beloved films ever made. Judy Garland plays Dorothy Gale, a farm girl whose house is carried by a twister from black and white Kansas into the colourful land of Oz. Wearing ruby slippers and hunted by the Wicked Witch of the West, she follows the yellow brick road to the Emerald City with the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, hoping the great Wizard can send her home.
