War for the Planet of the Apes is a 2017 science fiction film directed by Matt Reeves and the third chapter of the rebooted series. Caesar, played by Andy Serkis through motion capture, leads his apes in a long conflict with a human army commanded by the merciless Colonel, played by Woody Harrelson. After a devastating loss, Caesar sets out on a personal journey of revenge with loyal Maurice, picking up a mute girl named Nova and the comic Bad Ape on the way to the Colonel's camp.
