Developed by Greg Daniels from the British original, this NBC mockumentary comedy ran for nine seasons from 2005 to 2013. Regional manager Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, tries desperately to be loved by his employees at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch, while salesman Jim Halpert pranks his rival Dwight Schrute and slowly wins over receptionist Pam Beesly. Awkward meetings, talking heads to the camera and a famous catchphrase made it a workplace classic.
