Watchmen is a 2009 superhero drama directed by Zack Snyder, adapted from the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. In an alternate America where costumed vigilantes have been outlawed and Richard Nixon is still president, the masked loner Rorschach looks into the killing of the Comedian and suspects someone is hunting former heroes. His trail leads to Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, the godlike Dr. Manhattan and the brilliant Ozymandias, as the Cold War clock ticks toward midnight.
