RoboCop is a 1987 science fiction action film directed by Paul Verhoeven. In a crime-ridden near-future Detroit, where the police are run by the corporation OCP, officer Alex Murphy, played by Peter Weller, is brutally killed by the gang of Clarence Boddicker. OCP uses his body to create RoboCop, a cyborg programmed to serve the public trust. As fragments of his old life come back to him, RoboCop and his partner Anne Lewis set out to bring down Boddicker and uncover corruption at the very top of the company.
