Pixar's 2009 adventure, directed by Pete Docter, centers on Carl Fredricksen, a gruff 78-year-old who promised his late wife Ellie they would see Paradise Falls. Facing eviction, he lifts his house into the sky with balloons, only to discover a stowaway: Russell, an eager young Wilderness Explorer. In the jungle they meet a rare giant bird and a talking dog named Dug. A touching animated comedy about grief, friendship and new adventures.
