Sergio Pablos's 2019 animated Christmas comedy, made by SPA Studios for Netflix, imagines a fresh origin for Santa Claus. Jesper, the lazy son of a postmaster general, is sent to Smeerensburg, a gloomy island town where two families have feuded for generations.
