Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 comedy directed by Peter Farrelly, co-written with his brother Bobby Farrelly. Jim Carrey plays Lloyd Christmas, a limo driver, and Jeff Daniels plays Harry Dunne, a dog groomer, two well-meaning friends with very little common sense. When Lloyd falls for a passenger named Mary Swanson and finds the briefcase she left behind, the pair set off from Providence to Aspen in a dog-shaped van, unaware that the case is full of ransom money and that criminals are chasing them.
