The Lincoln Lawyer is a 2011 legal thriller directed by Brad Furman and based on Michael Connelly's novel. Matthew McConaughey plays Mickey Haller, a charming defence attorney who runs his practice from the back seat of a Lincoln Town Car. When he is hired to defend wealthy Louis Roulet, played by Ryan Phillippe, against an assault charge, Haller begins to suspect his client is guilty of far worse and finds himself trapped between his duty and his conscience.
