Peter Weir's 1998 comedy-drama stars Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank, a cheerful man living in the picture-perfect seaside town of Seahaven. Unknown to him, he was adopted by a TV company at birth, and everyone around him, including his wife and best friend, is an actor in a round-the-clock reality show run by the creator Christof, played by Ed Harris. As strange glitches pile up, Truman starts to question his world and dreams of escape.
