Deadpool is a 2016 superhero action comedy directed by Tim Miller and based on the Marvel Comics character. Ryan Reynolds stars as Wade Wilson, a former special forces mercenary who is diagnosed with cancer and agrees to an experimental treatment. It leaves him scarred but with the power to heal, and as the masked Deadpool he goes after Ajax, the man responsible, with help from the X-Men Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The film is known for breaking the fourth wall.
