Robert Zemeckis's 1985 sci-fi comedy follows Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, a high schooler whose eccentric friend Doc Brown has turned a DeLorean into a time machine. A mishap strands Marty in 1955, where he accidentally interferes with how his parents met. Now he must play matchmaker for the teenage George and Lorraine, dodge the bully Biff, and help the younger Doc find enough power to send him back to his own time. A witty, endlessly rewatchable adventure.
