Illumination's 2015 animated comedy, directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, is a prequel to Despicable Me about the little yellow henchmen. After ages of serving the worst villains in history, the Minions are lost without a master, so Kevin, Stuart and Bob head to Villain-Con in 1968 Orlando. There they are hired by Scarlet Overkill, voiced by Sandra Bullock, who sends them to steal the Crown Jewels in London. Their banana-loving chaos leads to a royal mix-up.
