Disney's 2017 live-action musical fantasy, directed by Bill Condon, retells the tale as old as time. Belle, a book-loving young woman from a French village, takes her father's place as the prisoner of a Beast in an enchanted castle. Its servants, turned into clocks, candlesticks and teapots, hope she can break the curse, while the vain hunter Gaston schemes to win her.
