Pixar's 2006 animated comedy, directed by John Lasseter, follows Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie racing for the Piston Cup. On his way to the deciding race in California he ends up lost in Radiator Springs, a sleepy town on Route 66, and is sentenced to repair its road. There he befriends the rusty tow truck Mater, the Porsche Sally and the gruff old Hudson Hornet Doc, and slowly learns about friendship and slowing down.
