The Lobster is a 2015 absurdist drama directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. In a society where being single is forbidden, newly divorced David, played by Colin Farrell, is taken to a hotel where guests have 45 days to find a partner or be transformed into the animal of their choice. David picks a lobster. He escapes into the woods to join the Loners, a rebel group led by Léa Seydoux's character where romance is banned, and falls in love with a short sighted woman played by Rachel Weisz.
