The Island is a 2005 science fiction action thriller directed by Michael Bay. Ewan McGregor plays Lincoln Six Echo, who lives in a sterile facility where residents dream of winning a lottery to go to the Island, the last uncontaminated place on Earth. His curiosity leads him to a shocking discovery about the real purpose of the facility, and he escapes with Jordan Two Delta, played by Scarlett Johansson. Hunted by mercenaries working for the scientist Merrick, played by Sean Bean, they race across Los Angeles.
