John Carter is a 2012 science fiction adventure from Disney directed by Andrew Stanton and based on Edgar Rice Burroughs's novel A Princess of Mars. Taylor Kitsch plays John Carter, a former Confederate captain who is mysteriously transported to Mars, called Barsoom by its inhabitants. Thanks to the lower gravity he can leap enormous distances, and he becomes caught up in a conflict between the green Thark warriors led by Tars Tarkas and the human cities, while falling for Princess Dejah Thoris, played by Lynn Collins.
