Created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, this CBS comedy ran for nine seasons from 2005 to 2014. Architect Ted Mosby recounts his years of searching for love in New York with his friends Marshall and Lily, news anchor Robin and the suit-obsessed Barney Stinson, whose "Suit up!" and "Legen... wait for it... dary!" became catchphrases. Told through flashbacks and playful storytelling, the series mixes romance, running gags and the bonds of friendship at MacLaren's bar.
