J. J. Abrams' 2009 reboot takes the Star Trek saga back to the beginning. Reckless Iowa farm boy James T. Kirk joins Starfleet, where he clashes with the logical half-Vulcan Spock. When the Romulan Nero emerges from a rift in time to take revenge, the untested crew of the USS Enterprise, including McCoy, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov and Scotty, is thrown into battle. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto star, with Leonard Nimoy returning as the older Spock.
