Seven Pounds is a 2008 drama directed by Gabriele Muccino, reuniting him with Will Smith after The Pursuit of Happyness. Smith plays Ben Thomas, a man haunted by his past who quietly seeks out seven strangers he believes deserve help, testing each of them before acting. Among them are a blind meat salesman played by Woody Harrelson and Emily Posa, a woman with a failing heart played by Rosario Dawson, with whom Ben unexpectedly falls in love as his secret plan draws near its end.
