DreamWorks' 2010 animated comedy, directed by Mike Mitchell, is the fourth Shrek film. Worn out by diapers, tourists and a routine that never changes, Shrek longs for the days when he was a feared ogre. The sly Rumpelstiltskin offers him one day of freedom, but the contract erases Shrek from history: Far Far Away is ruled by Rumpel, Fiona leads an ogre resistance and Donkey has never met him. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas return.
