Ghost is a 1990 romantic fantasy directed by Jerry Zucker and one of the biggest hits of its year. Patrick Swayze plays Sam Wheat, a New York banker killed in what looks like a random mugging, who stays behind as a ghost beside his girlfriend Molly, played by Demi Moore. When he learns that Molly is in danger, he turns to Oda Mae Brown, a phony medium played by Whoopi Goldberg in an Oscar-winning role, who is stunned to discover that she can really hear him.
