Scent of a Woman is a 1992 drama directed by Martin Brest, for which Al Pacino won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Chris O'Donnell plays Charlie Simms, a scholarship student at an elite New England prep school who takes a Thanksgiving weekend job looking after Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade, a blind and bitter retired Army officer. Frank drags Charlie to New York for luxury hotels, fine dining, a tango and a Ferrari ride, while Charlie faces a hard choice about a school scandal waiting for him back home.
