Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is a 1997 spy comedy directed by Jay Roach and written by Mike Myers, who plays both the groovy British agent Austin Powers and his nemesis Dr. Evil. Both men were cryogenically frozen in 1967 and wake up thirty years later in a world that has changed a lot. With the help of his partner Vanessa Kensington, played by Elizabeth Hurley, Austin tries to stop Dr. Evil's latest plan for world domination while struggling to understand the 1990s. The parody of James Bond films became a cult hit.
