Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 historical epic retells Homer's Iliad. When Trojan prince Paris steals Helen away from Spartan king Menelaus, his brother Agamemnon gathers a vast Greek fleet to sail on Troy. Brad Pitt plays the proud warrior Achilles, who fights for glory rather than for kings, while Eric Bana plays Hector, Troy's noble defender. Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger, Brian Cox and Peter O'Toole co-star in a tale of honour, pride and siege warfare.
