Lord of War is a 2005 crime drama written and directed by Andrew Niccol. Nicolas Cage plays Yuri Orlov, a son of immigrants in Brooklyn's Little Odessa who discovers he has a talent for selling guns. After the fall of the Soviet Union he becomes one of the world's biggest arms dealers, supplying warlords in Africa and beyond, while his brother Vitaly struggles with drugs and Interpol agent Jack Valentine, played by Ethan Hawke, tries to catch him. Narrated by Yuri, it is a darkly ironic look at the business of war.
