To Kill a Mockingbird is a 1962 drama directed by Robert Mulligan, based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. In the small Alabama town of Maycomb during the Great Depression, lawyer Atticus Finch, played by Gregory Peck in an Oscar-winning role, agrees to defend Tom Robinson, a black man accused of assaulting a white woman. His children Scout and Jem see the prejudice of their neighbours up close, while also growing curious about their mysterious, reclusive neighbour Boo Radley.
