Beetlejuice is a 1988 fantasy comedy directed by Tim Burton. After a car accident, Adam and Barbara Maitland, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, find themselves ghosts stuck in their beloved Connecticut house. When the pretentious Deetz family moves in, the gentle couple fail to scare them away, but their goth daughter Lydia, played by Winona Ryder, can see them. In desperation they call on Betelgeuse, a crude and chaotic bio-exorcist played by Michael Keaton, who soon becomes far more trouble than he is worth.
